The CREATE staff will use the CO/CREATE database to find opportunities to: Identify immediate jobs in the region that might be of interest to talent in the database — Match high-growth companies in the region with senior talent who have the expertise they need — Recruit companies to come to the region based on the types of talent who have indicated they would like to come here if opportunities existed relevant to their career — Look for opportunities to connect talent together to form startups based here that are immediately connected to funding and/or clients — Support people who can pursue their careers working remotely from this region CO/CREATE Talent Database The just-launched CO/CREATE Talent Database is another core initiative of the Innovation Campus mission. This project identifies professionals who would like to live and work in this region of Kentucky and Tennessee, if career opportunities made that possible, and helps seek the work to bring them here. “We call our Talent Database ‘CO/ CREATE’ not only because we want to build the future for our region with you as a collaborator, but also because ‘CO’ stands for ‘Confidential’ and ‘Optimized,’” Steen said. The name and information of talent who submit their resumes to CO/CREATE are stored locally in a private, secure environment, and only accessed by team members at CREATE at the Innovation Campus, all of whom have signed non-disclosure agreements. The database is continuously updated, through occasional check-ins with talent who have submitted to ensure their continued desire to live in the region as well as to flag any updates to their professional experience. 58 WKUSPIRIT ALUMNI.WKU.EDU
